I just wanted to thank you so much for including me in the church meeting last Tuesday. I'm so excited to be able to help!
What you are doing for these girls is such a gift from the heart. Your message is so culturally relevant, as young teens are constantly being bombarded with over-the-top sexualized media.
When I was in my late teens I chose a bad path, which included dressing inappropriately. I look back at that time in my life with such regret, pain, and shame.
Even though the Lord has done a mighty work of healing in my life, I know it's a life long process of healing. Every now and then I still have a good cry over the sins of my past, as the Lord is exposing a wound so He can heal it. That's why I'm so excited that you are doing this program.
Teens need to know that no matter where they are, what they have done, or have had done to them for that matter, they don't need to sell out their bodies to what the culture says about how to dress.
It's a quick fix that leads to future pain. Maybe many of the girls have never realized that 10, 15 years down the road they will regret their decisions. Maybe no one ever cared enough until your show to tell some of them that :)
So, thank you so much for doing this. You have a powerful, much needed message of hope. I'm sure the girls will just have so much fun seeing the clothes and make-up. It sounds like such an awesome event!
I will be praying for this, that lives will be transformed. We have been so blessed by you and Danny, and your legacy that has touched our lives.
