October 15, 2010 - Whittier Christian High School- Letter of Recommendation
I would like to recommend Teresa Coelho and Power of Modesty to schools and organizations looking for a great way to address the issues facing today’s teen. Teresa was a great inspiration to our students – both male and female. Her method of relating to students in a straight forward manner was perfect for our audience.

We asked Teresa to participate as part of a panel discussion during our Spiritual Emphasis Week. The first session matched an all female panel with over 150 female students. There was dialogue on an enormous variety of issues from self image to friendships to dating to parents. Teresa was a valuable part of that conversation. She has a unique way of speaking directly to the heart of the matter and of the student. Even more interesting, however, was our second session. During that time, we matched our all female panel with over 150 male students. Again, the dialogue was varied and dynamic. Teresa brought an honesty to the conversation that many of our male students appreciated. Often this direct approach was specifically referred to when talking with male students about the session. They were grateful someone was willing to openly and honestly answer their questions and address their concerns. They thoroughly enjoyed this attempt to try to understand each other a little better.

Teresa Coelho and Power of Modesty opened the door to a conversation that will continue on our campus for quite some time. Teresa is not afraid to talk about the tough issues and give spiritual counsel to the hard questions. She is welcome on our campus any time.

I would happily recommend Teresa Coelho and Power of Modesty to any organization seeking to reach teens today. She can speak to a wide range of topics while always bringing the subject back to Jesus Christ. Teresa Coelho and Power of Modesty fulfill a huge need in the lives of today’s teens.

Blessings to you,
